An index tracker token references a published index level — the issuer processes rebalances; holders hold the issuer's XRPL obligation.
An index tracker like AEMX is an issued XRPL currency whose value references a published market index. The index itself is a calculation methodology owned by its administrator; the token is an obligation of Assetiko, the issuer that maintains the tracker on-ledger. Holding the token gives economic exposure to the index level, not ownership of the index's constituent securities.
To hold AEMX, a wallet sets a trust line to Assetiko's issuing account (rsE5j8…mvXYnP). The trust line binds the holding to the exact currency-and-issuer identity shown in section 01 — the same ticker from any other issuer would be a different asset entirely.
The scheduled events for tracker assets are ISSUER-scope rebalances: periodic windows in which the issuer aligns the tracker with its reference. The index administrator publishes the reference; the issuer does the on-ledger processing. Neither the administrator nor the constituent companies issue or endorse the token.
